Our Response to COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)
In response to the continuing spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Gas Detector Shop has implemented a plan to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees and to ensure continuity of business during this period. This plan has been developed based on the Australian Government Department of Health advice and recommendations as communicated by the Australian Health Sector Emergency Response Plan for Novel Coronavirus (the COVID-19 Plan).
Advice to visitors
Visitors are requested to not attend our office if, in the last 14 days, they have:
- Returned from overseas
- Have been in a COVID-19 hotspot https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/hotspots-covid-19
- Been in close contact with a person diagnosed with Covid-19
When visiting our offices:
- Please enter via the designated Entrance only
- Please wear your mask
- Hand sanitiser is provided throughout the building
- Maintain a social distance of at least 1.5 m where possible
Advice to clients
- Workers have been advised by management if feeling unwell not to attend work, contact management and arrange an appointment with a GP. Symptoms to note include:
- Fever
- Flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and headaches
- Difficulty breathing.
- As part of the current outbreak, all employees will be supplied with masks as part of their PPE and be required to carry them at all times. These masks will be worn when:
- Workers are sharing a vehicle with other employees
- They are unable to maintain 4 square metre social spacing
- When directed to by clients
- Maintain a social distance of at least 1.5 m where possible
Deliveries and dispatch
- Staff are authorised not to sign for packages, they just need to provide their first and last name to the delivery driver for input
