The OMX-ADM Odour Meter is a handheld meter that has been designed for detecting pet odours and putrid smells, and checking the effect of deodorisation before and after cleaning in hospitals and nursing houses.
- Display odour strength level in numeric values.
- Display odor intensity which is converted into ammonia concentration.
- Detect odour in manufacturing and converting factories.
- Measure pet odour and smell of excrement.
- Check the effect of deodorization before and after cleaning at hospitals and nursing houses.
- Measure garbage odour levels in garbage disposal plants, restaurants and fish markets.
- Monitor the smell of compost in livestock plants.
Real-time Digital Indication
The numeric odour strength level is displayed continuously.
Odour Intensity(*)
The displayed value is converted into ammonia odour intensity by a scale of 2.5 to 5.0 based on the odour concentration of the measurement environment.
*Odor Intensity is determined based on Japanese Regulation, which allows the evaluation of odour levels by 6 scales.

How to use the OMX-ADM Shinyei Technology handheld odour meter
Note:
a) The OMX takes an odour sample by using an inner pump and will display the strength level. The odour strength level is calculated by Shinyei's original formula using two types of gas sensors that respond to different types of gases.
b) The OMX detects complex odours and converts them to odour strength levels, which means it will not classify the type of odour.
c) The strength level shown in the OMX doesn't correlate with the human sense of odour.
d) OMX does not detect odor well if the gas concentration is not high enough for the device.
